Off Centre goes off-beat with P. N. Joshi, Superintendent of the President’s Gardens

This week, CNN-News18’s Off Centre goes off the beaten path and rejoices spring with the famed Mughal Gardens at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The famous gardens have been opened for the public visit since 5th of February.

This week Anuradha SenGupta interviews Superintendent of the President’s Gardens, P. N. Joshi. He has been working with the Rashtrapati Bhavan since 1987. To manage all the gardens, the golf courses and the vast green spaces across the official estates of the President of India, Joshi has been leading a total staff of 190 people.

On the show he explains the effort and dedication that goes into creating and maintaining these gardens. Joshi also talks about his experience while serving during the tenures of seven Presidents including the incumbent Ramnath Kovind and describes how each of these Presidents have impacted the gardens.
