Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM launches campaign to combat unsafe riding in Bengaluru
Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, Bengaluru’s hottest radio station launched the “Use Your Head to Save Your Head / Thale Balisi, Thale Ulisi” campaign. The event was flagged off by Mrs. D Roopa Moudgil (IPS) IGP & Additional Commandant General, Home Guards and Ex-Officio Additional Director, Civil Defence at the Radio Mirchi office.
The campaign was kicked off with Radio Mirchi listeners smashing their old helmets with a hammer. It was a fun yet thought provoking moment, where the use of safety approved ISI helmet was emphasised. As part of this campaign, Radio Mirchi gifted safe Vega Branded ISI approved helmets to its listeners. This was an initiative which aimed at creating road safety awareness by promoting the use of ISI approved helmets.
“Radio Mirchi has always laid emphasis on advocating road safety measures and has hence launched “Use Your Head to Save Your Head” campaign in Bangalore. We hope through this campaign, more people understand and realise the importance of road safety” mentioned Manoj Mathan, Regional Director, Radio Mirchi (South).
Inaugurating the event, Mrs. D Roopa Moudgil said, “In Bangalore, road safety is one of the most neglected subjects and we have noticed that commuters rarely follow safety guidelines. I really appreciate this commendable effort by Radio Mirchi to create awareness around the pressing issue of road safety and would like extend my wholehearted support to this initiative.” She also accentuated the fact that any move made towards spreading awareness will never go in vain, “I urge more people to take up the pledge through this wonderful initiative by Radio Mirchi and get rid of their old helmets”.
