Dish TV adds a new feature ‘Scan to help’ on its app
Dish TV India Limited introduced a new feature on its My Dish TV app named Scan to Help. The Scan to Help feature has been conceptualized and executed by the first runner up team of Dish-a-thon 2020. The feature is powered by Artificial Learning and Machine Learning. And, for easy understanding, it is available in both English and Hindi languages.
The feature is aimed at empowering all the subscribers (old and new both) for self-help while facing technical issues related to the set-top box. Scan to Help helps in achieving higher C-SAT, an opportunity to cross-sell, and reduction in calls to Dish TVs Call Centre. To use the new feature the subscribers will just have to scan the error plate and it will share an automatic update on the current subscription and account status. When there is bad weather at the broadcasting center, the error plate will take an update of the local weather conditions and proceed with technical troubleshooting. The app also provides an option for raising a service ticket.
Commenting on the launch of the new feature, Mr. Anil Dua, Executive Director & Group CEO, Dish TV India Limited, said, “Dish TV India has been continuously investing in cutting edge technology to provide unparalleled service and TV viewing experience to its customers. In this digital era, technology-led solutions and offerings are paramount to achieving customer satisfaction and this new AI-enabled tech feature is a step in the same direction. What makes this feature extremely special is the fact that this idea was proposed by one of the top 3 winning teams of Dish-a-thon 2020. This was an in-house team, Team DishTV and they have taken the idea forward to its solutions and complete execution. New features like ‘Scan to help’ are set to redefine and shape up the future of the M&E/Broadcasting industry.”
