Santoor Women’s Scholarship Program launched a unique initiative #AChanceToSucceed, urging people to nominate girls aiming to pursue higher education and in need of financial assistance.
#AChanceToSucceed is a unique digital campaign highlighting that when given an opportunity, girls will continue the cycle of education, ensuring its positive impact transcends generations. The campaign captures the story of a young girl and her journey – from her struggles to get to school, pursuing higher education with the support of Santoor Scholarship Program and returning to her village to make a difference.
Santoor Women’s Scholarship, launched in 2016, financially supports girls from disadvantaged backgrounds, who wish to pursue under graduate education after grade 12. This recurring annual program offers 900 scholarships across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The scholarship amount of Rs. 24,000 per annum is for tuition fee and any other expenses incidental to education. This year also witnessed the first batch of students of the scholarship graduate.
Mr. S Prasanna Rai, Vice President – Marketing, Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, while shedding some light on the initiative said “We want to encourage people to nominate girls they feel deserve to get a chance to pursue their dreams. #AChanceToSucceed is an interactive social media campaign that we believe will help us in reaching out to more girls helping them benefit from the programme.”
The campaign initiates the call for nomination starting 23rd November 2019, where consumers who wish to nominate a girl can do so with just a click from where ever they are.
