Star Gold launches “Dekh Ke Chalo”, a new public awareness campaign

After a long stay at homes due to the ongoing pandemic, the lockdown is being lifted up and it has begun to slowly ease up across the country, people are required to become more careful of their safety as well as others around them. Hindi movie channel Star Gold has come up with a campaign called, ‘Dekh Ke Chalo’ in support of this thought. The campaign is focussed on the awareness that needs to be created with the change in the public’s attitude and behaviour regarding the necessity of social distancing and wearing a mask.

The campaign features clips from a few popular movies that have been featured on the channel and is set on the iconic song ‘Ae Bhai Zara Dekh Ke Chalo’; all with a relevant twist. The crucial messages of the importance of safety and social distancing have been conveyed beautifully in the campaign video. The actors can be seen wearing masks and encouraging the use of sanitizers in the montage. Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan, have come forward to support the campaign and help to highlight the message of staying safe and taking the right precautions during the pandemic.

 “With people now emboldened to step outside and reclaim their life, there is a tendency to believe that we have put the worst days of the pandemic behind us. It is precisely for such moments that the Star Gold ‘Dekh Ke Chalo’ campaign has been created – to aptly remind people that as they step out, they should not drop the guard of safety, hygiene and health. Being amongst the leading movie channels in the country, we wanted to harness the unparalleled reach of our platform, combined with the influence of these prominent Bollywood artists and are confident that our message of safety will echo across the country,” said a Star Gold spokesperson, explaining the thought behind the brand’s initiative.

Praising the awareness campaign, actor Ajay Devgn said that this is a nice way to reinstate the need for social distancing and wearing a mask when people are out. And talking about the well- suited lyrics he added that it smartly promotes the need to take the pandemic seriously with appropriate precautions.

Expressing his happiness over this thoughtful initiative, actor Abhishek Bachchan pointed out the creativity in ‘Dekh Ke Chalo’ as it is presented in a true Bollywood style with an iconic song that aptly suits the current situations.

Star Gold has been consistent in catering to the biggest movie line-up on Indian television. It is the leading destinations for the latest Bollywood Blockbusters. The campaign is live on UTV Movies, UTV Action, Star Gold, Star Gold 2 and Star Utsav Movies.
