The latest Lay’s ad features former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and ace Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan. In the ad, Sehwag, who was also an opener, can be seen as ‘Baba Sehwag’ who is advising and sharing his expert cricketing tips to the other opener Shikhar.

The video shows a distressed Shikhar Dhawan, asking Sehwag, “Baba, hum to sirf opening karte hain… Aap toh khol ke rakh dete the. Kaise Baba, kaise?”. Baba Sehwag instantly responds, “Beta Shikhar, aise mat bikhar”, he holds a pack LAY’S and says, “LAY’S Khol. 2GB data free mil raha hai… Online jaa, mere batting ke lesson aur baba ke session… dono dekh le.” He hinted that the answer to Dhawan’s question is in the lay’s packet, where he can enjoy unlimited internet access and avail up to 2GB free data.

The engaging conversation among the two has received over 1 million views so far.

Shikhar Dhawan has hit his first and maiden T20 century on October 17 against Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Dhawan plays for the IPL team Delhi Capitals and his century was very much unexpected on Saturday. He even got dropped thrice by the Chennai Super Kings during the innings. But all went well for Shikhar till the very end and he managed to secure 101 runs out of 58 balls, that includes 14 boundaries. And, Lay’s wished him for his recent achievement.

Virender Sehwag is regarded as a very aggressive batsman of all time. Sehwag used to play for the IPL team Delhi Daredevils and is the captain of the team in the IPL. Virender Sehwag has played some of the finest innings for the Indian Cricket Team in Test cricket, that includes his 319 against South Africa at Chennai. He also hit his maiden double century in One Day International (ODI), against West Indies and became the second Indian after Sachin Tendulkar to do so. He is the one of only two players in the world to have scored a double century in ODI and a triple century in Test cricket.
