Dhoni entertainment and BWO’s JV for India’s first animated spy universe


Captain 7, India’s India’s first animated spy universe, a secret-agent animated universe is slated to launch in 2022. A  joint venture between Dhoni Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and Black White Orange Brands Pvt. Ltd. The first season will have the multi-award winner cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the lead character. BWO and Sakshi Singh Dhoni are co-producing this animation fiction. The first season will have MS Dhoni’s avatar.

MS Dhoni said, “The concept and story are great. It will bring to life my other passions along with Cricket.”

BWO has planned this premium show to be launched every year starting 2022 across multiple entertainment platforms. Though mostly into licensing business, this is BWO’s first foray into the content. The JV visions to create this as a premium animation show as India’s first animated spy universe.

Commenting on this brand new innings, Sakshi Singh Dhoni says “When BWO came to us with the concept of an animation fiction show based on Mahi, we were on board. A whole lot of adventure awaits you with ‘Captain 7’.”

While captain 7 is in the pre production stages. The involvement of eminent personalities and entertainment house in the premium animation content production, will have a positive impact on the animation circle. Likewise, MS Dhoni’s new avatar in this venture will give the much needed motivation and inspiration to the animation industry in the country.
