NBCUniversal Formats and Banijay Asia enters into partnership

A division of Universal Studio Group, NBCUniversal Formats signed a co-production deal with India’s leading producing company, Banijay Asia. Under the partnership terms, Banijay Asia will now be working with Universal Studio Group to create the local versions of the award-winning shows, Monk, The Titan Games, Suits, Top Chef, Saturday Night Live, and House all over the region. The curated portfolio of the shows that have already achieved great success and will be carefully recreated for the new audiences in the linguistically and culturally diverse nation.

The first-ever partnership deal of the co-production agreement for NBCUniversal Formats is being carried on in India. The agreement is striving to spread and creating local versions of its content all over the world and Asia. One of the most popular productions of NBCUniversal Formats, Suits, has already been adapted for the audiences of Korea and Japan; Saturday Night Live in Japan; and Top Chef in Thailand and Vietnam.

The conglomerate has seen various associations such as The Kapil Sharma Show with Salman Khan’s SK TV, Roar of the Lion with MS Dhoni’s Dhoni Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Myntra Fashion Superstar with Sushmita Sen, Into the Wild with Bear Grylls with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar,ARRived with AR Rehman, etc.
