Universal Music Group and TikTok signs a global agreement

Universal Music Group (UMG), and TikTok sign a global agreement that provides equitable compensation for the songwriters and recording artists. And, also to enhance and expand the existing relationships among the companies, promoting the growth of new experiences and form a stronger bond between the artists and fans for the music that they like.

The agreement covers recorded music from all artists from UMG’s songwriters and labels with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG). Through this agreement, the TikTok users will become empowered by the music and soundtracks with which they create videos and build communities of music-centered culture. Additionally, TikTok will have more new features for the users in its kitty like incorporating clips from Universal Music Group’s full catalog of music.
