The automotive industry in India is not only one of the largest in the world, but also is evolving along with the Government’s efforts to promote electric mobility as one of the key solutions to reduce carbon emissions along with the introduction of the new Bharat VI norms. India has become an increasingly interesting market, especially for French players, owing to the steadily growing presence of Renault and the advent of PSA this year. France is the largest electric mobility market in Europe and intends to contribute to India’s ambitious automotive program with its cutting edge technologies. French players look forward to create synergies with Indian companies through technical cooperation and partnerships.
Electric mobility being one of the principle themes for this delegation, a seminar on this subject will be held at the French Embassy in Delhi on 7th February 2018. Key Indian players and officials from the Niti Aayog (The National Institution for Transforming India) will address the audience during this event. Moreover, Business France and the FIEV will also organize collective meetings with key OEM exhibitors at the Motor Show in order to promote a first dialogue between French and Indian companies. These meetings abdsite visits will enable the French suppliers to better understand the expectations, challenges and opportunites for the Indian market, thus leading to fruitful exchanges between the two counterparts.
This initiative between French and Indian players of the automotive industry endeavours to successfully create opportunities of international cooperation towards cleaner, more sophisticated, and an energy friendly automotive future.
