Roposo, the country’s favourite fashion social network, is taking its focus on women empowerment an extra mile this year. On the occasion of Women’s Day, it has declared the entire month of March as Women’s Month. The fashion social network is organising a series of workshops and events that seek to further enhance the skill sets and quality of life of its women work force. From financial planning to leadership training, and health awareness to self-defence tips and tricks, Roposo is covering the entire ambit of subjects that today’s young, spirited and independent woman professional must master in order to thrive and succeed in style.
On 9th of March, in association with Haree Patti, a start-up that imparts financial wisdom and investment solutions, Roposo will conduct a session on smart financial planning for its women employees. The workshop covers vital areas of knowledge including Tax Planning, Retirement Planning, Marriage and Education Planning for kids, et al. It also elucidates on the power of compounding when it comes to building wealth and the importance of insurance.
Similarly, Roposo has partnered with Sanshinkan, a team of expert teachers of martial arts, karate and kick-boxing to teach its women employees the nuances of self-defence, confidence building and personal mastery. The pioneer of the self-defence industry in India, Yashpal Singh Kalsi, will himself be conducting this session on 15th, 16th and 17th of March in the Roposo office. He will offer tips and tricks based on real-life situations and will focus on the best ways to attack under threat using pressure points.
For the health camp, Roposo has tied up with Dr. Lal Path Labs, one of India’s top diagnostic chains to conduct full body check-ups and blood tests for its women employees. It will hold important tests such as cervical screening or pap smear test and Haemogram.
Roposo co-founder, Avinash Saxena said, “The role of women in our business is absolutely critical. They bring a unique perspective and skill set which is particularly precious for a company like Roposo. Since our primary target audience is women, our organisation is naturally dominated by a female employee base. And this Women’s Day, we want to dedicate an entire month to them. Besides celebrating their power and strength, our endeavour this time is to equip them with the right tools and knowledge so that they can flourish in every walk of life and stay ahead of the curve.”
Mona Thangaraj, Head of HR, Roposo, “As a company built around the contemporary, fashion forward-Indian woman, a strong female focus is something that comes to us naturally. This month, we’re taking this focus to the next level by declaring March as Women’s Month at Roposo. We will be driving a number of women-focussed initiatives throughout the month, covering everything from an investment workshop to leadership trainings and health camps to self-defence classes.”
In addition to the activities being held in the month of March, Roposo has also announced its plans to continue organising such women-oriented camps and sessions that will deal with subjects most relevant to them such as breast cancer awareness and cervical cancer, amongst others. They also plan special vocational courses and leadership & training programmes for their women employees.
