NCPA conducts virtual workshops for kids with Winter Fiesta

This Diwali, the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) spreads joy amongst kids with Winter Fiesta online

The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) has organized virtual ‘Winter Fiesta’ for kids during these unprecedented times. To get the kids and parents engaged at home during this festive season, this version is being conducted online to reach out to a larger audience with a unique lineup of cultural and artistic experiences.

Commenting on Winter Fiesta, Bruce Guthrie, Head of Theatre and Films, The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) said, “Going virtual is the need of the hour. Today everyone is consuming information and entertainment virtually and kids are no exception to this. It has been NCPA’s constant endeavor to curate world class arts and culture experiences for the younger generation and hence, we decided to introduce Winter Fiesta in a virtual format given the current situation. The five-day long festival will act as a catalyst in providing both, the kids and youth, a unique and vibrant opportunity to learn, play, and be active while staying at home’’

The workshop aims at broadening the creative minds of the kids and youths by letting their imaginations explored held by distinguished experts. The workshops will have classical music, magic, dance, physical theatre, creative writing, etc. and will focus on enhancing self expression in an non-competitive and informal environment. At the end, every participants will get a participation certificate from NCPA and signed by NCPA Genre heads and workshop experts, both.

Bruce Guthrie is a theatre director who has many awards under his name and has directed products all over the world. Some of his movies include
