Gaurav Sharma of Network18 bags ‘100 Most influential Global HR Leaders” award

Gaurav Sharma, Head – Human Resources (General News), of the Network18, has been awarded the “100 Most Influential Global HR Leaders” by the World HRD Congress & CHRO-ASIA 2016 for his exemplary contributions in the various organizations he has served. The award ceremony was held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on 15th Feb 2016.

The “100 Most influential Global HR Leaders award” appreciates the transformations and changes being successfully introduced by Gaurav in present and past organizations.

Gaurav has 15 years of diverse industry experience in the field of Human Resources. He has successful track record in various sectors, which includes Automobile, Auto Component, Pharmaceutical, Real Estate and Financial Products & Services. This rich experience gives him understanding of the best HR practices across industries. He has served Hero Motocorp, Bosch Limited, Ranbaxy, Sahara India and Network18 group.

Gaurav has handled key assignments in Talent Acquisition, Organizational Structuring & OD interventions, Business HR, conceptualization and execution of best talent management practices, manpower planning and HR budgeting besides managing the operational issues in HR and Employee Relations/ Compliances.

Gaurav is a Post Graduate in Human Resources & Industrial Relations. In addition he is MBTI accredited, and hold Predictive Index certification, Thomas PPA certification and certificate on Organizational Behaviour certificate from U21 Global (Graduate School of Global Leaders).

Before taking up the current responsibility with Network 18 as Head HR for General News, Gaurav was associated with Sahara India as Group HR Head. Gaurav was instrumental in launching many key HR initiatives with Sahara India, which includes Employee Engagement, Career & Succession Planning, Competency Framework, etc. He was one of the youngest employee with Sahara, who was elevated to the Group Leadership position within 02 years of joining the organization.
