Aaj Tak is not just the no.1 News Channel but also the no.1 TV Channel
Aaj Tak, the Nation’s No.1 News Channel consolidates its dominance and repeats its surgical strike weeks performance by becoming the No. 1 TV Channel again in the Demonetisation week as per the latest BARC data leaving behind GEC and Movie channels including Colors, Zee Cinema, Sony Max, Star Plus, Zee TV and Sony Ent (SOURCE:- BARC, Mkt:- HSM, TG:- 15+ NCCS AB, Wk-45’16, Cov(in millions).
Aaj Tak also had a massive lead in the news genre with 25 % market share on coverage of the demonetization post PM Modi’s announcement (Source – BARC, HSM, TG – 15+ NCCS AB, 08th Nov’16, Time Band – 20:00 – 24:00, Share %). The leadership of the channel is well pronounced by the fact that the No.2 Hindi News channel in that band is trailing far behind at only 16 % market share. And India TV at less than half at 12%.
