The globally renowned company, Admitad Affiliate Network facilitated its advertisers with INR 350 crores of sales after its onboarded various online brands in the year 2020. The company has seen an immense expansion due to this move of Digital India. People got indulged in online shopping during this ongoing pandemic, the affiliate channels became the significant components for brands to meet their sales and marketing objectives. The eCommerce platforms generated huge sales across categories such as food delivery, fashion, groceries, health & beauty, digital appliances, pharmacy, etc.

Furthermore, affiliate marketing was also the avenue for sectors like IT Solutions, education, FinTech, entertainment, and online gaming. There has been a massive rise in the demand for digital transactions, video-on-demand (VOD)/ OTT platforms, services of the financial sector, and learning courses from the EdTech companies because of the impositions of lockdowns and norms of social distancing. The affiliate networks have increased their annual growth numbers through investing in automated processes such as messenger bots, increasing the overall onboarding and creating express payment services for publishers.

Owing to people’s affinity towards using social media, VOD services, digital payments, etc., many startup companies have started investing in D2C to reach out to their target audiences, smoothly. For instance, the trends were apparent from the sales generated from the OTT platform subscriptions which were INR 15 crores. Likewise, IT Solutions generated INR 14 crores. Consumers availed up to 3 lakh financial offers in all categories.
