In line with festive preparedness, Amazon.in held the national edition of its flagship seller conference, ‘Amazon Connect’ in Delhi to engage with sellers and help them to grow further in the upcoming festive season. Launched last year, the conference aims to provide sellers with an integrated platform to interact closely with Amazon.in’s senior leadership, better understand the company’s seller-centric products & services, share and learn from their fellow sellers, get a sneak peek into upcoming innovations and understand emerging trends in e-commerce. The programme witnessed participation of more than 400 Amazon sellers.
Amazon Connect drives engagement with different segments of sellers and helps them understand how they can leverage various seller enablement and capability building initiatives that Amazon.in offers to scale their business profitably. The event held had various interactive sessions planned, especially focused on tips and tricks for the sellers, including panel discussions to educate them about the best ways to leverage Amazon services and make this festive season sale blockbuster. For sellers who couldn’t make it to the conference, the event was even broadcasted live, which saw over 1000 sellers across India participating and benefiting from the initiative.
Elaborating on how the programme will benefit sellers in Delhi in line with festive preparedness, Mr. Gopal Pillai, Director & GM, Seller Services, Amazon India, said, “Employing a seller backwards approach like always, Amazon Connect has been specifically created with the intention of closely interacting with our seller community on our products & services. We recognize and value their contribution towards making Amazon.in a preferred online shopping destination. We look forward to interacting and seeking valuable feedback from our sellers to innovate our services to meet their requirements in the best possible way. During the festive season last year our sellers received orders from 97% of India’s pin codes which speaks volumes of the reach and market penetration for their businesses. With the festive period around the corner, we are positive that through Amazon Connect we will empower sellers to catalyse their growth on our marketplace.”
Amazon.in at the conference also announced a suite of new initiatives, including new on-ground and online sessions under Seller University to prepare sellers for the upcoming sale. The event also updated sellers about the new feature- ‘Register to launch’ on the seller app to directly get launched using the app on the go. The sellers were also updated about the new rewards and recognition program for best performing sellers- based on overall sales, advertising and referral program. For the third year row, three lucky sellers will also get a chance to visit the company’s headquarters in Seattle next year to meet the Amazon senior leadership and visit the campus. The event also comprised of a felicitation ceremony for high-performing sellers who have met Amazon’s high bar of quality customer experience consistently and substantially grown their business this year.
