Celebrate Ganeshotsav with Sonata
Sonata, India’s watch brand from the house of Titan unveiled a unique app for Ganeshotsav exclusively for consumers based in the city of Mumbai and Pune. Launched in partnership with the popular Marathi newspaper Sakal for on-ground activations and engaging contests, the app aims to make it easier for people to enjoy the festivities associated with the region’s largest and most popular festival. As the country’s leading watch brand, Sonata endeavors to build interventions for consumers that are in line with the unique sensibilities of the diverse cultures and traditions.
The comprehensive app allows users to locate the nearest mandaps and locations where Ganesha events are being held. More than 200 mandaps are listed on the app besides incorporating interesting aspects of this festival such as Lippan Art to Modak making. Users can also participate with their families in 10 exciting contests like ‘Majhi rangoli’ where participants can share a picture of the Ganpati pooja rangoli and stand a chance to win exciting prizes by Sonata. It also includes contests for children like ‘My friend Ganesha’ where they can share a drawing of Ganesha. All these contests will run through the 10 days of celebration. The Winners of these contests stand the chance of winning goodies worth INR 10 lakh. Another interesting feature of the app is its in-built festive guide that showcases informative guides around clothing, recipes and rituals.
