With another 20 days for the board examinations to end, the search for colleges will begin soon for the students. With majority of India’s Internet population, especially the students accessing it on mobile, collegedunia.com, a premier College Search engine has launched the first ever app for such kind of requirement where one will have access to all relevant information on colleges in the country.
The application cum website allows you to search from 20,000 colleges in India running different courses. It lists examinations, news with regard to colleges and also carries review, stats, placements, rating and videos on the institutions.

Collegedunia claims to feature 20,000 colleges/institutes/Universities, 1 million Fees Structure on its platform and averages 40000 visits every day both on mobile and web platforms. It plans to reach 1 lakh visitors /day and cross 1 million installs in the next six months. It covers areas like fee, placement, alumni record, rankings, awards and extra-curricular activities.
Education search engine Collegedunia has secured Rs 3 Crore in pre-Series A round of funding from Umang Kumar, Co-founder and CEO of Gaadi.com. The website, which collates information on higher education in India and abroad, had raised Rs 1 Crore in angel funding last year from Kumar and other undisclosed investors.
Collegedunia has biggest education clients such as NIIT Group, Educomp Business Schools, NMIMS, Alliance Business School and IDP Global etc.
Collegedunia recently launched an exam feature where they notify aspirants about entrance exams deadlines, provide free sample papers, tips, and counselling and result advice. Features such as institute listings, personalized notifications, authentic alumni advice talks and college reviews.
The startup also plans to provide solutions to colleges and coaching institutes, such as application management systems, customer relationship management tools, on-line counseling tools, listing coaching institutes, polytechnic institutes and entrance exams details. It plans to become the Zomato of the education industry.
