Grazia has brought to spotlights on emerging new talent, along with the noisemakers and trendsetters of the year, for their 13th-anniversary issue. Featuring Sobhita Dhulipala on the cover, this issue’s second cover highlights the quartet of Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Mathur, Pratik Gandhi and Vijay Varma, who headline the annual Grazia Cool List 2021.
Sobhita Dhulipala, one of the breakout stars of the digital space in recent years, takes a deep dive into her early days, the inspirational women of her life, work, and future projects, along with life lessons amidst a global pandemic. Shooting for the much-awaited second season of Made in Heaven, she tells Grazia that “it’s always so much fun to revisit a character. With the first season, it always feels like you’re walking on eggshells, but this time on the script is more cerebral and juicier,” says the actress who has three films releasing this year, including a Hollywood film she just signed on.
The Grazia Cool List 2021, features 25 incredibly talented individuals comprising actors, influencers, disruptors, and social change advocates who have worked against the odds to innovate, create, connect and inspire. It includes Ali Fazal, Mithila Palkar, Prajakta Koli, Armaan Malik, Faye D’Souza, Srishti Dixit, Yashraj Mukhate, among others.
Known for his versatility, singer Armaan Malik has come long way. However, the artist’s approach to work shifted in the past year with more consideration going into choosing his projects. He says, “Sometimes you don’t need a hundred projects to grow, in fact, you just need one project to push you a hundred leagues ahead and I think that is something that my team and I have learned. Doing less is more, and doing it well is, in fact, the most important thing.”
Moving to the content creators, Saloni Gaur, who is known for her brilliant satirical pieces says ‘’During the lockdown, people started spending a lot of time on social media, which then helped us content creators showcase our talent. I was creating videos daily and the engagement on my posts was amazing.” Another stellar actor who is ruling the OTT space is none other than Mithila Palkar. She began her journey as an actor on OTT platforms and last year reaffirmed her faith in web series. Talking about what she’s grateful for, the curly-haired actress says, “Career-wise, I think we were all very thankful in terms of the existence of OTT and I’m glad that I was given my wings there.”
