INOX Leisure Ltd (INOX) has completed 15 years of its association with the oldest film festivals in Asia, The International Film Festival of India, popularly known as IFFI. As the association with IFFI completes 15 years, INOX has doubled the partnership with the dedication of its multiplex at Porvorim as the second INOX venue for film screening, besides the multiplex at Panaji. INOX has been hosting the screening of the films since 2004, ever since Goa became the venue. The INOX multiplex at Porvorim has 4 screens and 911 seats and would help in catering to the growing demand for more screens and seats, as the Festival celebrates its Golden Jubilee. In all, IFFI would have 8 screens across two INOX multiplexes in Goa dedicated for screening of films and conducting Master Classes and workshops, besides Kala Academy and other venues.
In addition, INOX would also work towards promoting and building more awareness about IFFI through extensive promotions at multiplex INOX locations across the country, including the showcasing of a 25 second promotional film on IFFI.
Amit Satija, Chief Executive Officer, Entertainment Society of Goa added, “The 50th edition of the film festival is going to be bigger and better. There are more than 200 films this year and few films will have multiple screenings. We are happy to get an additional location with additional screens from INOX this year at Porvorim.”
Speaking on the occasion, Siddharth Jain, Director – INOX Group said, “Our association with IFFI is certainly the most prized partnership that INOX has ever been a part of in its journey of close to 2 decades. An opportunity to host the finest film personalities and industry stalwarts at our premises makes our role one to cherish as an exhibitor. Also, hosting thousands of aspiring film industry professionals in our premises and watching them learn from stalwarts, gives us a sense of fulfilment as the future of the film industry gets honed at INOX. As we complete 15 years of our association, our pride and delight gets multiplied as we double our contribution towards the epic event with our multiplex at Porvorim also becoming the part of the event as another screening venue. I take this opportunity to thank DFF and ESG for entrusting us with this wonderful opportunity to host this magnificent event.”
