ITC Sunfeast launched its new sub-division, Sunfeast Caker
ITC Sunfeast launches a new sub brand, Sunfeast Caker as its expansion in the cakes category. Sunfeast Caker will come in three formats, Trinity, Swiss Roll and Layer Cakes. The first format, Trinity is a triple layered cake with a choco covered bottom, choco crème in the middle of the layers and topped with a drizzle of choco. Second is Swiss Roll, which is garnished with choco drizzle making it a typical bakery product and the third format is Layer Cakes, that comes in two distinct variant Choco and Butterscotch.
Elaborating on the launch, Mr. Ali Harris Shere, Chief Operating Officer, Biscuits & Cakes Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Limited said, “The cakes category in India has been growing at a very promising pace. Given that it is a large category and with our experienced play in the biscuits segment, we believe it is the right time to expand our franchise. Our focus would be to drive further growth of the category by re-defining the way consumers view and consume packaged cakes. The endeavour would be to bridge the experiential gap between fresh bakery cakes and packaged cakes through our unique offerings. As a national trusted brand, we look forward to delighting households across the country with this specially crafted new range of Sunfeast Caker.
All of the three premium quality bakery products will be offered to consumers at an affordable prices, in parity with the industry price points and grammage. 29 gms SKU and 28 gms SKU of Trinity of Swiss Roll will be available at Rs 10 and the Layer Cakes will be available at two price points of Rs 5 & Rs 10 respectively. The new sub brand will be available all over India from November 2020.
