First-ever 100 per cent made in India electric bicycles launched by Nahak Motors in an attempt to contribute to India’s electronic transformation drive starting at INR 27,000. The Experience Zone & E-Cycles made of 100% Indian Technology were launched by Hon’ble Minister of State (MSME), Government of India Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi in Faridabad, Haryana. Nahak Motors has kept the entire manufacturing domestic, in a bid to overcome the challenges on the supply of key components and labour skill gap.
Designed especially for the Indian terrain, E-Cycles from Nahak Motors have Lithium Battery and takes around 2 hours to get fully charged and once it is fully charged, it can run up to 25 kilometres. Even a regular power socket can charge the E-Cycles and it will come with a mixed Iron frame.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Pravat Kumar Nahak, Chairman, Nahak Group said, “As the unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak had put a brake on the auto industry across the globe. The disruption has undoubtedly given a fillip to the electric vehicle segment proving people’s empathy towards the environment. Besides the launch of the E-Cycles, our focus will stay towards the environment sustenance with more products in the pipeline. India’s first, high-speed sports electric bikes launched by Nahak Motors in Auto Expo 2020, named P14 and RP46. The bike will run 150+ kilometre in a single charge with a top speed of P14 bike is 120 km/h. With a peak power of 6.4KW, the bike shall begin on February 1, 2021.
With the Indian Government’s vision of having a pollution-free country, Nahak Motors products and business is bringing ‘Made in India’ products. Nahak began with E–Rickshaw and entered Electric Vehicle Market in 2014. The R&D facility is in Greater Noida (UP) and the manufacturing unit of E-vehicles is located in Faridabad (Haryana).
