Since the re-launch of our original programming, we are closely monitoring the response of viewers to our content and are trying to satiate their requests with unique programming propositions. With Jai Jagannath we are focusing on the unheard tales of Lord Jagannath who is worshipped in almost every home in Bengal. On the other hand, Basanta Bilash Messbari builds on nostalgia and serves story of a messbari where the seemingly different members, though divided by blood are united by emotions. Basanta Bilash Messbari is a Sitcom and will have a completely different appeal to our audiences. We hope that audience will enjoy the show as much as we did while making it. With Basanta Bilash Messbari we are also getting back popular actors Kanchan and Kamalika back on screen after a long time. “

Produced by Surinder Films Jay Jagannath will explore the untold stories of Lord Jagannath. Shree Jagannath has always been very close to the people of Bengal.

Ratha Yatra is pompously celebrated in West Bengal, where Lord Jagannath is worshipped extensively in Bengal homes and temples. Lord Shri Krishna has always been one of the most popular gods of all Bengali households. The Jagannath theology overlaps with the story of Krishna with an embedded theology urging the pursuit of knowledge, love and devotion to realize the divine in everything. Bipul Patra plays the role of Jagannath and Lord Krishna. The show will focus on the strong connect identifying Jagannath with Krishna, thus re-establishing the original identity of Lord Jagannath as Supreme Personality of Lord Shri Krishna. Viewers can catch this visual treat starting 22nd November, every day at 8.30 pm, only on COLORS Bangla.

Basanto Bilash Messbari is sweet lighthearted romantic comedy drama that focusses on the fact that family is not necessarily bonded by blood but love and emotion. However, the two being the most sane and sensible inside the messbari develop an intense bond as they help the members there to overcome their struggles, emotions, and insecurities.
