Zindagi presents a new drama, ‘EkKasakRehGaee’ that is bound to captivate audiences. Set to premiere on 5th April @ 9:00 PM, every Monday to Saturday, ‘EkKasakRehGaee’ is the story of a woman struggling to find her voice, break out of the cocoon of societal pressure and finding her place in society. The cast includes Javed Sheikh, HinaKhwajaBayat, Taifoor Khan, Saira and Naila Jafri along with Sanam Saeed and Mikaal Zulfiqar as its leads.
Sanam Saeed portrays the role of a very progressive and confident girl, Paras who lives with her mother Najma and her younger sister Sara under the protection of her very orthodox uncle, Tayaji (Javed Sheikh) aunt Tayiji and their two sons who are unable to accept her progressive ways. Her Tayaji and other relatives do not approve her way of life, according to them a woman should be in a veil and should stay at home. Paras stands alone against their orthodox thinking. Despite the restrictions from her family, she starts working at an NGO with another self-reliant woman, Natasha a.k.aBia (HinaBayat) who soon becomes Paras’s mentor and guide. Her life changes when Paras gets married to Bia’s brother, Shahriyar (MikaalZulfikar) who is heartbroken from a previous relationship. After marriage, when Paras discovers that Shahriyar has a nearly fatal medical condition, she stands by her husband and helps to save his life and takes on all the responsibilities of a wife and daughter in law.
