Apeejay Stya University is now open for admissions for BJMC programme

Apeejay Stya University’s (ASU) School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) announces the admissions are now open for both, English and Hindi medium of the Bachelors in Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) programme.

The programme is designed to help students evolve into balanced media professionals. It provides rigorous academic and practical training in digital media platforms, reporting, broadcast, content writing, videography & editing for print and anchoring. SJMC readies students for the event management industry, radio and public relations also as part of its Mass Communication syllabus. Students get the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty with prior leadership experience from the fields of print, radio, television, public relations, event management, and advertising, among others.

Eligibility: Students with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 in any discipline are eligible for this programme. This year, those students who are going to appear in their final examinations may apply for provisional admissions.

All eligible students will have to clear a written test followed by an interview for admission.


Infrastructure and Facilities

With an operational teleprompter for recording news bulletins, debates, quiz and interviews, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at ASU is equipped with an acoustically-treated TV Studio. Along with the latest photography and videography equipment, it is further enriched by a radio studio and post-production lab. The School of Journalism & Mass Communication also runs its internet radio station called Radio Styavani. The University provides scholarships to meritorious and needy students. It offers placement support in leading media houses, digital media platforms, advertising agencies, public relation agencies, and event management companies, among others.
