The teaser of the most awaited Bengali movie, Golondaaj was released. The movie is based on the life of one of the legendary footballers of the country, Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikhari. The film is directed by Dhrubo Banerjee and casts superstar Dev in the lead. The film also stars Ishaa Saha, Srikanto Acharya, Anirban Bhattacharya, Indrashish Ray, John Bhattacharya, RJ Agni, Alexx O Nell, Joydeep Mukherjee, and many more.
The official poster of the film was launched a few days back and received an enormous response from the audience. The teaser launch event witnessed the cast and crew of the film talking about their experiences while working in the film.
Also known as the ‘Father of Indian Football’, Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikhari was the first Indian ever to play football introduce it as the mainstream sport in the country. The film tells us the journey of the challenges faced by the footballer during the social structure of the pre-independence era and his becoming the football sensation of the country.

The entire team worked extremely hard to make this dream come true. This is the first time the Bengali audience will experience a sports periodic drama on such a large scale. More importantly, being a Bengali, making a film on Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikhari and his legendary contributions is no less than an honor for me.
