Hungama Play launched its new Hunagma Originals, a Hindi youth comedy show Nimmi’s PG. The show is set in a PG (paying guest) accommodation and showcases the lives of three carefree single girls and their cranky landlady. Their equation lands them into various weird situations involving new quirky characters. These little incidents of the show make itself a laugh riot for the viewers. The show will be starring Meenu Panchal, Natasha Phukan, Bhawsheel Singh Sahni, Aanchal Agrawal, and Kulbir Baderson.
Nimmi’s PG is produced by ABUZS Original and is directed by Nitesh Singh. The Nimmi aunty’s PG is located in saadi Dilli and the PG has literally everything that the three girls need. But, it is their lives that create confusions and misunderstandings between the girls & Nimmi aunty such as night parties, idiotic boyfriends, hiding secrets, etc. Though, Nimmi Aunty also can’t be left behind as she loves gossiping, Patiala Peg, and sattebaazi. The life in the PG is a mess and a total siyappa.
Speaking about the show, Siddhartha Roy, COO, Hungama Digital Media said, “Our original show library is diverse in terms of genres, formats, languages, and the audiences they target. Nimmi’s PG targets a younger demographic but narrates a humorous story that even those outside of the core target group will find relatable and enjoyable. Our aim is to launch 18 to 20 original shows in 6 different languages this year that appeal to varied sets of audiences and reach viewers across different geographies on the back of our strong distribution strategy.”
Speaking about the show, Nitesh Singh said, “The show is a fun, light-hearted take on a situation that most single people in India would find identifiable. It puts the characters in unusual circumstances and their actions make it the perfect comedy to enjoy over a weekend. I am glad to have worked with talented actors who have succeeded in ensuring that the viewers do not have a single dull moment. I look forward to the audiences’ reactions.”
