D/Code, India’s First Ever Curated Luxury Living Show Hosted 2nd Edition
India’s first ever curated luxury living show D/code with its 2nd Edition, turned Mumbai into a hub reverberating with unique design ideas and architectural marvels. The two-day-long premier design show, an initiative by Home & Design TRENDS, a leading authority on architecture and design, presented by Classic Marble Company, was held at NSCI, Dome, Worli. Globally recognized power couple Krupa and Zubin of ZZ architects, the curators of this edition put forth a magnificent show with the best of art, design and, architecture under roof. The extravagant design fair on its Day 1 was inaugurated by Krupa and Zubin, Mr. Deepak Lamba, CEO, Worldwide Media and Mr. Amit Shah, Managing Director, CMC with a lamp lighting ceremony.
Speaking at the occasion Mr. Deepak Lamba, CEO, Worldwide Media said, “The interior market in India is one of the fastest growing market and we are very excited to be a part of this. Last year when we started d/code, for a first-time event, we were very thrilled with the kind of response we got. We had over 30 exhibitors and this year we decided to scale it up and make it bigger. It’s been an immense pleasure to see the team work hard in making this a reality and, today what we see over here is about 75 brands and 40 exhibitors. We truly hope that D/code becomes the go to destination for the design business in India in the years to come.”
Speaking about the 2nd Edition of D/code, curator Krupa Zubin and Zubin Zainudin said, “We are honoured to curate D/code2019. At D/code like-minded set of brands have been curated so one can discover and explore design. We are delighted that we have collectively put up this successful event that had such an overwhelming response today. The feedback from the participants and the visitors has been so positive. The purpose was to get this kind of experience under one roof to inspire and be inspired.”
Mr. Amit Shah, Managing Director, CMC said, “We were the main sponsors for the 1st edition as well and this time D/code is much larger. It is wonderful to see such a huge response that we received in the first one hour already. We are hoping for the 2nd edition of D/code to be a platform to reckon with in the design industry.”
Following its successful maiden edition last year, this season, D/code was much bigger in scale and showcase, as it presented luxury art and design in its much unique and innovative form. As curators of D/code 2019, Krupa & Zubin aimed at bringing together the full spectrum of craft disciplines and specialties pertaining to architecture, art, luxury, and technology. They were joined by an elite panel of sub-curators who brought together an array of brands having a unique mix of unconventional and classic appeal. The design exhibition also witnessed a brilliant line up of national and international speakers, decor brands, and collaborations between architects and leading industry brands – the best of design all under one roof!
The panel comprised of Interior designer Aakif Habib of Atelier Habib, multimedia architect Ayaz Basrai of The Busride Design Studio, design consultant Pramiti Madhavji of The Blue Pencil Design Company, art curator Lavesh Jagasia of Artiana and The Serigraph Studio. One of the most creative highlights of the two-day fair was a special installation created exclusively for D/code 2019 by architect Sanjay Puri of Sanjay Puri Architects. A solo musical performance by artist Ramya Pothuri on Day 2 enhanced the grandeur of this luxury design expo.
