With the upcoming release of “Avengers: Endgame,” the culmination of 22 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers fans were presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend alive stream event presented by Walt Disney Studios, IMAX and PVR featuring Avengers star,Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man).
On Sunday, April 14, Robert Downey Jr. live streamed into four IMAX theatres in India to celebrate the Avengers legacy and interact with fans. There were more than 1,200 excited participants from across Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai who joined the 1.5 hours event. Popular media influencers Rohan Joshi and Ashish Chinchalani were the hosts and ensured that the audiences were enthralled and entertained throughout the session.
Fans from each city got to ask Robert Downey Jr. a question about life before and after Thanos’ snap following “Avengers: Infinity War.” Known for his wit and humour Robert Downey Jr. ensured fans had the best Avengers celebration where they also witnessed a friendly banter between the hosts and the Iron Man himself.
Fansalso watched “Avengers: Endgame” trailers and content in the immersive IMAX theatres and at one point, they joined hands for the Marvel Anthem. To add to this dose of entertainment, there were fun games and a trivia quiz. During the event, the audience wasalso given an IMAX exclusive “Avengers: Endgame” poster andother film memorabilia.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo designed “Avengers: Endgame” for IMAX using IMAX cameras to capture the entire film. Exclusively in IMAX theatres, MCU’s most emotional and action-packed movie yet will be presented in IMAX’s expanded aspect ratio from start to finish, delivering up to 26% more picture than in standard theatres. Further immersing audiences into this final chapter, IMAX’s crystal-clear images and customized, crisp surround sound will transport fans directly into the action.
