Brief Profile:

Being co-founded by Ms. Kajal Kothari, Freshbox Media is a full-service digital marketing agency based in Thane. Having hands-on experience in marketing management, strategy planning, project scoping, and brand building, she remains true to her passion for advertising. After graduating from Mumbai Educational Trust of Colleges, she worked as a Brand Manager for one of the most reputed pharmaceutical companies in India. As Kajal Kothari realized her passion for the marketing sector, conceived the idea of Freshbox Media, completing six years in 2021.

Q) How was your experience for the past six years as a digital marketer?

Digital has kept everyone on their toes and I have been no exception. It’s like a cyclic journey that has no end- learning, practicing, and improving with time.

The best part is experimenting with new tools in the digital ecosystem, and encouraging everyone to do something different each time. Over the last six years, we have branded many stories that have witnessed a happy ending.

Q) Being a full-time agency, what kind of changes have you noticed working with brands post-pandemic?

COVID-19 has been an eye-opener for everyone who is directly or indirectly associated with digital marketing. If you run an agency, you soon realize that dynamics can change overnight. During the pandemic crisis, I have seen relevant products and services for the consumers becoming irrelevant.

The focus of attention on brands shifted quicker than anticipated! During the new normal, we re-built our strategies for adapting to the changing pace of the evolving consumer demand.

Being a full-service agency, we faced many challenges to help brands maintain a strong connection with their customers but we pulled it off, nevertheless.

Q) Covid19 has impacted many businesses. Has it affected your revenue in any way?

Initially, we could sense the confusion and insecurity which emerged due to COVID-19. Unlike brands that could turn around things in their favour, our situation was a little different.

The lockdown did impact our business but we were fortunate to have associations with brands who optimistically took this challenge head-on. Currently, we are still calculating the ultimate impact on our revenue.

Q) You are on digital platforms for long enough. Is there any perfect timing for social postings? Or good content is the king here?

Eventually, it’s the content that helps you to reach your target audience effectively. The key is to post content at the right time to create a synergistic impact.

Q) What is the key to carrying a successful digital campaign (in general)?

A successful campaign has the power to make a brand memorable for its target audience. But if you wish to be known for the right reasons then it is important to choose the right KPIs. Choosing the wrong KPIs will make all your efforts go waste as there is no clear direction.

Remember, a digital campaign should be devised in a manner where there is enough scope to add multiple dimensions- isolated campaigns become irrelevant over a period of time as the target audience becomes immune to the messaging with no valuable takeaways.

Q) What are your future plans and programs?

With a rising number of marketers becoming digitally literate, it has become easier for digital marketing agencies to develop, communicate, and create ideas that can make a positive change. We are in the process of planning and working towards an ecosystem where our clients get a better overview of digital marketing initiatives.

In terms of data analytics and campaign adaptation, we are working on tools that can give brands an edge over their competitors. Ultimately, we love keeping things simple and fresh.
