PharmEasy concludes its acquisition of Medlife for better user experience


India’s leading digital healthcare platform, PharmEasy, concluded its acquisition of Medlife. All the users of Medlife will be migrated to PharmEasy as Medlife will discontinue its services, starting 25th May. This merger aims at creating a strong unified platform to accelerate the mission of providing quality healthcare to a larger population. The acquisition took place in January 2021.

PharmEasy, since its inception has focussed on the mission, ‘Simplifying Healthcare, Impacting Lives’. PharmEasy will boost PharmEasy’s efforts to provide quality healthcare services in India, with Medlife’s current reach across 465+ cities. The PharmEasy platform will also ensure a focused approach towards the consumer’s needs. PharmEasy has now become the largest healthcare delivery platform across the country with this major consolidation in the fast-growing online pharmacy sector, catering to more than two million families every single month.

Welcoming all Medlife users and partners to the PharmEasy family, Dharmil Sheth, Co-founder, PharmEasy said, “We are thrilled about the beginning of this new chapter. This acquisition significantly strengthens our position in the healthcare industry, and further helps us in providing quality healthcare to a greater number of Indian households.”

To enable a smooth transition, Medlife customers need to login into the PharmEasy app using their Medlife account credentials. Their digitised prescriptions and saved addresses dating back to a year will be available on the PharmEasy app. PharmEasy will also be looking forward to onboarding Medlife’s retail partners and continuing their journey with the brand. Further, as a welcome gesture, all Medlife customers will enjoy additional benefits which include a flat 30% discount on medicines, an additional 15% discount on Lab Tests and personalised saving.

Pharmeasy currently works with around 80,000 pharmacies and intends to expand that to 1,20,000 outlets across 100 cities by the end of 2021.
