An Indian luxury hotel chain, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts appoints Megha Ajgaonkar as General Manager – Sales. As a part of the appointment, Megha will be leading and driving sales performance and thus fortifying The Leela’s Sales and Distribution network and strategies. Prior to joining The Leela, Megha was working with Marriott International as Area Director of Sales & Distribution West India for Marriott South Asia.
With more than two decades of diverse experience in hospitality and business development, Megha has worked with brands such as Taj, Starwood, and Marriott where she led to the successful opening of multiple luxury brands across the country including the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar and positioning the Ritz Carlton Pune. Megha’s sales leadership helped luxury hotels including the W Goa, JW Marriott Juhu and St Regis Mumbai in expanding their market share performance.
Megha Ajgaonkar is a Hotel Management graduate and an alumnus of IHM, Aurangabad and began her journey through the Taj Management Training Program and is also a certified sales trainer. She is a strong advocate of a performance-driven culture and is the recipient of multiple industry accolades for leading from the front and driving sales performance in her former roles. Megha is passionate about upskilling talent and building sales expertise. She indulges in music, pastel paintings, and badminton, during her free time.

Currently, a group of eight luxury palaces and hotels, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts was founded by C. P. Krishnan Nair in 1986 and is owned by Brookfield Asset Management. The name of the hotel was named after the wife of the owner of The Leela Group.
