Moneycontrol elevated Ankit Fitkariwala as CEO – Lending, as the financial platform looks to scale its lending business and deepen its role in financial fulfilment.
In an internal email, the company said Moneycontrol has moved beyond being a financial information platform to a destination where users can transact and meet core financial needs.
The company said lending has been a key driver of this shift. The business has expanded from personal loans to gold loans and loans against mutual funds.
Fitkariwala joined Moneycontrol in April 2023. Since then, he has helped build the lending ecosystem, set up the business and put together a cross-functional team.
The company said the lending business crossed Rs 1,000 crore in disbursals last year. It also helped over 1.5 crore users access their credit scores.
In his new role, Fitkariwala will focus on scaling the lending business and making Moneycontrol a market leader in the segment.
He will also lead efforts to grow the business profitably, as Moneycontrol strengthens its position as a full-stack financial fulfilment platform.
