MX Player appoints Siddharth Mantri as its Senior VP, Product

MX Player appoints Siddharth Mantri as its new Senior Vice President, Product Vision and Strategy all across all the brand offerings of MX Player including the brand’s short format video platform, MX Takatak, Music, OTT Video, and Games. In this role, he will be responsible for driving the transformed product strategy. Siddharth will also lead analytics and product development in India, Singapore, and China where he will be crafting a roadmap and vision for MX businesses worldwide.

Siddharth Mantri has an experience of about 17 years globally and in India, where he has delivered innovation, growth and profitability for businesses across consumer lifestyle, enterprise services & platforms, digital entertainment, and digital content protection. He is a perfect fit for the leadership team because of his consumer-first approach which will be helpful in curating digital experiences that resonate with the needs of the selective consumer.

Siddharth is an alumnus of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and has held various key positions at Microsoft, Seattle for more than 12 years. Later, he also worked in Grab, Singapore for a little over a year. In Microsoft, he has invented the world’s first completely “zero-touch” customer experience for new enterprise-owned PC deployments aka Windows Autopilot, and led product development across Media Center, Live Mesh (OneDrive), XBOX, Windows Enterprise and Endpoint Manager. And at Grab, he led the SuperApp and Consumer Experience divisions, responsible for transforming Grab from ridesharing into a daily-use SuperApp in South East Asia.

In this current role, Siddharth is looking forward to delivering the best digital experience to the consumers and contributing to the success and growth of MX Player.

MX Player is one of India’s leading video streaming and video-on-demand platform which is developed by MX Media & Entertainment. Currently, the OTT platform operates in 12 languages and has a library of more than 150,000 hours.
