Hitachi Energy India Limited has reappointed N Venu as Managing Director and CEO of Hitachi Energy India Limited for the second term of five years commencing December 2, 2022. The reappointment was on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee at the Board Meeting held today. The reappointment is subject to the approval of shareholders.
N Venu has been the Managing Director and CEO of Hitachi Energy in India since December 2019 and was key in the company’s corporate identity transformation in November 2021. He will continue to influence Hitachi Energy’s efforts to help India achieve a sustainable energy future while balancing social, environmental, and economic goals.
In India, Hitachi Energy operates under the legal entity name Hitachi Energy India Limited (formerly known as ABB Power Products and Systems India Limited) and is listed on the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and BSE Limited (BSE) as POWER INDIA, Scrip code 543187.
Venu has close to three decades of experience. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, and he has also attended management courses at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and International Institute of Management Development, Switzerland.
