Pine Labs appoints Shalini Pillai as CMO to spearhead global brand transformation

Global fintech platform Pine Labs, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Shalini Pillai as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).  In this role, Shalini will lead global marketing strategy, product marketing, marcom, and brand positioning for Pine Labs.

Prior to joining Pine Labs, Shalini was the Marketing Director – India and South Asia at Microsoft. A decade-plus veteran of Google and Microsoft and a former entrepreneur, she has a proven track record of scaling high-impact portfolios across consumer apps, digital payments, and enterprise ecosystems. Her nearly two decades of experience and expertise in bridging deep-tech innovation with aggressive market acquisition will be pivotal as she spearheads Pine Labs’ marketing and growth strategy across its global footprint.

Commenting on the appointment, B Amrish Rau, CEO, Pine Labs, said, “Shalini brings deep technology-led marketing experience across both B2C and B2B global big techs. Her long tenures in scaling digital products, building data-driven growth engines, and driving integrated brand and product marketing give her a full-stack perspective. The appointment comes at a time when Pine Labs is making deep in roads into integrating advanced AI capabilities across payment products and developer productivity tools and recently announced a key collaboration with OpenAI.
