Vakrangee appoints Mr. Sagar Kargutkar as Chief Marketing Officer
Vakrangee Ltd (unique technology driven company focused on building India’s largest network of last-mile retail outlets to deliver real-time banking & Financial Services, ATM, insurance, e-governance, e-commerce and logistics services to the unserved rural, semi-urban and urban markets.) has announced the appointment of Sagar Kargutkar as the Chief Marketing Officer for all its business verticals.
Sagar joins Vakrangee from McDonalds India where in his last assignment he was the Head of Marketing, Communications & Digital. At McDonalds he was instrumental in launching McSaver, Rice Bowls, Scale for Good Food Campaigns along with McDonalds foray in Digital Marketing. He was recognized as the 50 Most Influential Digital Marketing Leaders of India by World Marketing Congress in 2018. Prior to that he was the National Head of Marketing for The Times of India’s Metro Supplements for over 12 years wherein he was responsible for the financial health and marketing of the Times of India and its metro supplements. He was a key member who conceptualized and creatively executed high-profile award-winning brand initiatives like Lead India, Teach India, Aman Ki Asha for Times of India and also led Bombay Times to become the most profitable publication within the Times group. Lead India became the first campaign worldwide to have received the Grand Prix at the Cannes International advertising festival across all Brands in Direct category. Times Group leading IPR property Times Fresh Face was his brainchild. Prior to Times of India Brand role, he was instrumental in setting up the entry of Times of India group in the Out of Home business. Sagar has started his career with Mid-Day Multi Media Ltd where he was part of their ad sales team.
Sagar has been a marketing and business professional for more than 15 years. An alumnus of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Sagar is a strategic marketing leader with an expertise in consumer & Digital marketing, Brand Strategy, new product launches, P&L management.
In his current role at Vakrangee, he will be responsible for Heading Marketing Communications Strategy, Digital marketing, product evolution for all the 6 Business Verticals of Vakrangee namely Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, E-Commerce, ATM, E-Governance & Logistics and will work closely with the executive team to take Vakrangee brand in India to the next level.
