OHO Gujarati reveals the first look of Pratik Gandhi starrer Vitthal Teedi
New Gujarati OTT platform, OHO Gujarati has revealed the first look of Vitthal Teedi, starring Scam 1992 fame actor Pratik Gandhi. Vitthal Teedi is a maiden web series of the OTT platform and shows the story of a small-time gambler who rises to fame exploring the highs and lows of his life through games of cards. The series is set in the early 80s and was filmed this year January.
The first look of the series shows Pratik Gandhi in a whole new avatar. It opens with Pratik Gandhi asking “What is the difference between a gambler and a player?” in Gujarati and ends with a Pratik Gandhi style punch line that answers his question “A gambler relies on his luck, while a player uses his skills”. The look and feel of the motion poster with its music will make the series interesting to watch once it releases in May. The look also announces that the trailer will be releasing on May 1, 2021.
The web series is directed by the celebrated Gujarati director Abhishek Jain. Jain has directed films like Bey Yaar (2014) and Kevi Rite Jaish (2012) and is currently working on his unnamed upcoming Hindi film starring Rajkumaar Rao and Kriti Sanon with Maddock Films. Vitthal Teedi will mark as the homecoming of Pratik Gandhi to Gujarati cinema with Jain and Cineman Productions who he had made his debut with.
Pratik Gandhi is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Gujarati theater and cinema. He is best known for his portrayal of Harshad Mehta in the Sony LIV biographical series Scam 1992 released last year. The actor became national fame overnight and received widespread critical attention and national attention for playing the role. Not only this, Scam 1992 went on to become the most popular and commercially successful web series in the country.
