aha, the 100% Telugu OTT platform has entered into its first content association with The Viral Fever (TVF) for its latest web series, Tharagathi Gadhi Daati on 20th August 2021. The five-episode web series is an official Telugu remake of TVF’s teenage romance FLAMES.
Tharagathi Gadhi Daati has been directed by Mallik Ram, who has also directed the successful web series Pelli Gola. The show will star Payal Radhakrishna, Harshith Reddy, and Nikhil Devadula in leading roles. Prior to Tharagathi Gadhi Daati, aha has also done – Commit Mental which is a remake of a TVF’s most popular original, Permanent Roommates.
Adapted in Telugu with utmost authenticity, Tharagathi Gadhi Daati is set amidst the heart of Rajahmundry. The show captures the spirit of everyday life in and around the Godavari region in Andhra Pradesh. The web series revolves around a young intermediate student Krishna a.k.a Kittu, whose parents Shankar and Gauri run a coaching centre. Krishna isn’t exactly motivated to study, despite his solid credentials as a student and being a Mathematics-enthusiast. Just then enters the second character and the other lead of the series, Jasmine. She is a new student in the coaching centre, turns his world topsy turvy. The show throws light on the sweet little nothings, the chaos of teenage years as it takes the viewers through the tender romance unfolding between Krishna and Jasmine.
