Launch of ‘No Ordinary Disruption: The Four Global Forces Breaking all the Trends’

The most anticipated book yet ‘No Ordinary Disruption: The Four Global Forces Breaking all the Trends’ (Public Affairs) was launched at Taj Westend, Bangalore today. Jonathan Woetzel, Director of McKinsey Global Institute and co-author of No Ordinary Disruption was present on the occasion.

A panel discussion headed by the author on the issues raised in the book was held to mark the launch of the book. The panel consisted of Krishnakumar Natarajan, MD&CEO, Mindtree; Ravi Gururaj, Chairman, NASSCOM Product Council, Anuradha Narasimhan, EVP-Sales and marketing, Global Consumer Products and Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan.

The book, No Ordinary Disruption, focuses on four big changes that are sweeping the world. It is a timely and important analysis on how leaders need to reset their institution as a result of four forces colliding and transforming the global economy: the rise of emerging markets, the accelerating impact of technology on the natural forces of market competition, an aging world population, and accelerating flows of trade capital and people. The book discusses that while these massive changes can be overwhelming, it inspires leaders and executives to prepare for a future that will be marked by relentless change and massive opportunities.

The panellists shared their perspective on how these global forces, especially technology, and globalisation will impact lives and what executives and leaders at all levels need to do to reset their operating assumptions and management intuition to succeed in this fast moving world.
