Natasha Malpani Oswal’s book Reinvention launched virtually
Natasha Malpani Oswal comes up with her second book of poetry named Reinvention which has been published by Bloomsbury. The book talks about the bad consequences of growing up in an evocative and raw manner. Natasha holds a master’s degree from Cambridge and Oxford and holds MBA from Stanford as well.
Natasha commented on the book, “Every transformation hurts. Especially coming of age. The poems in Reinvention are my personal diary, as I’ve grappled with the idea of coming ‘home’ and adapted to different identities – whether as an investor, writer, producer, or wife. Reinvention is a reminder to get bolder and better, instead of settling, as we grow older. 2021 marks a year of reinvention and hope after the craziness of 2020. This collection is about the power of leaning into change.” she said.
Talking about the launch of Reinvention, actor, and director Tisca Chopra said, “As a woman, mother, entrepreneur, and actor, I’m balancing several roles in life at the same time. But who am I really? I’ve always been fascinated with the exploration of ‘identity’ especially when it comes to women; whether in India or all over the world.” Chopra who has recently made her directorial debut with Rubaru, a short about mental health available on YouTube, is especially conscious of women’s rights and supporting education in India. “My training has been in acting, but I’ve also strived to don different hats and constantly reinvent myself. Natasha’s book of poetry, ‘Reinvention’ really resonated with me at this point in my life and career. Her words are like a clarion call to stand up for yourself and discover what’s inside.’

Below is a few reviews of Reinvention:
“This book of poems is a gem. The poetry is exquisitely simple but with a great depth of meaning that takes you inwards. The reader will identify with many poems as if it was retelling their own story – a successful poem does that. It is also a story of a new confident young Indian woman with a voice that transcends time and space. It’s a voice that will make the world sit up and listen.”
– Dr. Swati Piramal, Vice Chairperson Piramal Enterprises
“Natasha’s Reinvention is like a box of assorted chocolates. Each piece has its own distinct flavor and yet you can tell the cacao seeds are from the same source. We need to relish it slowly and enjoy the aftertaste before moving on to the next piece of poetry.”
– Shaan, Singer
“It is said every single soul is a poem and the moment of change is the only poem – this is what Natasha does in Reinvention. She touches every soul through her poetry and inspires change in a person. A MUST READ.”
– Anu Malik, Musician
