CNN to show Capital One’s The Match: Champions for Change
Turner Sports will be presenting a premium golf, Capital One’s The Match: Champions for Change with World Golf Hall of Famer and crossover legends Peyton Manning, Charles Barkley, Phil Mickelson and Stephen Curry.
The event will be broadcasted to 373 million households and hotel rooms around the world on CNN International globally on Saturday November 28 from 2:30 am – 5:30 am IST. Capital One’s The Match: Champions for Change is to be held at Stone Canyon Golf Club in Oro Valley, Arizona. The event will contribute towards and highlight equality, diversity and incorporation at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The format of the competition will modify an alternate shot match play with Naismith Memorial Hall of Famer Charles Barkley teaming with five-time Major Champion Mickelson against two-time Super Bowl Champion Peyton Manning and three-time NBA Champion Stephen Curry. The Capital One’s The Match will feature a series of on course challenges to provide additional funding for HBCUs. For each holes, there will be a funding ranging from $100,000 to $2,500,000, given to schools if they are able to sink a hole-in-one.

Progressive Insurance and Michelob ULTRA will be a presenting sponsor of the event, Cisco and DraftKings serves as a content integration partners. Stephen Curry’s OXIGEN Water, AT&T, Wheels Up, Callaway Golf and E-Z-GO are the associate sponsors pf the event.
The media agreement with Turner Sports and WarnerMedia was completed into a partnership with SPORTFIVE. This represents that Mickelson is the tournament organizer and the operation is being taken care by Excel Sports Management.
