Ahead of the first edition of Bihar Cricket league, the Gaya franchise has roped in the son of legendary cricketer Madan Lal, Kunal Lal. And as the Strategy Coach for the team, Mr. Ashok Kumar has also been signed in along with Kunal Lal.

Kunal Lal has been a High-Performance Director at Australian Capital territory and has also coached at the Eastlake Junior Cricket Club and is now the Director of Cricket at Amenity Sports Academy as well as Madan Lal Cricket Academy. Mr. Ashok Kumar on the other hand is a level ‘A’ qualified coach from BCCI.

Owing to the vast experience that both Kunal Lal and Ashok Kumar have, Capt. Rashid Ali Khan, CEO & Owner of the franchise, felt that this duo was the perfect fit to coach the team and could make a tremendous difference. “When the search for coaches was on, Kunal & Ashok both were exactly what we wanted as they both have not only played the game at national and international levels, but have also successfully coached various youngsters in the past”, said Capt. Rashid Ali Khan.

Capt. Khan further added that we are glad to have made such a good team and both of them have been very crucial during the player selections. “Kunal has a keen eye for young talent, while Ashok is very good with honing their talent.”

“As a franchise, we are confident that with this team and with Kunal at the helm, results would be great,” he said.

The team has been practising in their home ground, Urja Stadium.
