Share

Yas Island is a premier leisure and entertainment hub in Abu Dhabi which is all set to welcome back, Indian travelers when quarantine-free international travel begins. Before the pandemic, Abu Dhabi used to register over 450,000 hotel guests coming from India with an 8.2% increase over 2018*, which showed an increase in Indian visitors.

Yas Island has introduced comprehensive health and safety measures following UAE authorities’ guidance, over the past year. This was done to ensure that visitors feel confident to return to the destination.

88% of the employees working at attractions, experiences, hotels, restaurants, and retailers at the popular destination have been vaccinated against COVID-19, supporting Abu Dhabi’s vaccination program and its commitment to health and wellbeing. The island intends to be one of the first vaccinated holiday destinations in the world.

In order to raise awareness about the safety measures taken on the island, the popular holiday destination has launched an online platform #TogetherAtYas, which offers guests a guide to safety protocols and public health. Also, there is a ‘Yas Wellness Program’, which gives the guests direct access to a dedicated team of Yas Wellness ambassadors. The wellness ambassadors are a team of individuals in Yas Island who are specially trained to answer guests’ queries on health and safety measures. The team is contactable daily via social media, phone, email, and Whatsapp between 8 am to 5 pm UAE time.

The Island has also received the coveted WTTC ‘Safe Travels’ stamp for its advanced safety efforts. This makes the holiday destination to be the first in Abu Dhabi to receive the international honor.

Located 20 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi and 50 minutes from Dubai, Yas Island is one of the fastest-growing entertainment and leisure destinations on the shores of Abu Dhabi. The island is spread across 25 sq km.
