In a purpose-driven collaboration that brought together sport and child health, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., a global pharmaceutical company, and Delhi Capitals partnered to raise awareness about meningococcal meningitis and the importance of timely prevention during the Indian T20 League 2026 season.
What drove this collaboration was the Dr. Reddy’s purpose-led philosophy, ‘Good Health Can’t Wait’, which underscored the urgency of proactive healthcare and timely prevention. By leveraging the unmatched reach and cultural influence of the Indian T20 League, the partnership aimed to bring critical awareness about meningococcal prevention to millions of cricket fans across the country.
At the centre of this partnership was a powerful, human truth, many Delhi Capitals players are fathers themselves. Drawing from this shared sense of responsibility, the campaign brought to life a meaningful message: DC Dads support Meningococcal Vaccination, reinforcing the role parents play in protecting their children’s health.
Meningococcal meningitis is a severe, fast-progressing, and potentially fatal infection, making early awareness and prevention critical. Globally, it affects one life every two minutes1, yet remains significantly underreported due to its rapid onset, as highlighted by pediatricians. Difficult to detect and challenging to treat, this disease underscores the importance of prevention, especially through vaccination. However, awareness and adoption remain low, despite the risk and serious long-term complications being largely preventable with timely action.
Through this initiative, Delhi Capitals and Dr. Reddy’s aimed to raise awareness about the seriousness of the disease and the importance of timely prevention, while encouraging informed health decisions among families and caregivers.
Turning Reach into Responsibility
As one of the most widely followed sporting leagues in the world, the Indian T20 League provided a powerful platform to drive meaningful social impact.
Through a mix of digital storytelling, fan engagement initiatives, and strategic integrations during the season, the campaign aimed to make health awareness more accessible, relatable, and actionable.
Campaign Highlights
- Awareness-led digital campaigns across Indian T20 League platforms
