The grand two-day Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 culminated with the valedictory session graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar. The event witnessed an unprecedented gathering of industry leaders, global delegates, investors, and policymakers.
- The conclave witnessed an overwhelming response, with a total of 145 investment-related Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) This will pave the way for transformative industrial projects and partnerships in Odisha. MoUs worth ₹12.8G Lakh Crore of investment are signed across diverse sectors such as chemicals C petrochemicals, textiles, mining and metallurgy, renewable energy, IT/ITeS, tourism, and food processing. These investments are expected to generate over 8.G4 lakh job opportunities, creating a significant socio-economic impact and ensuring inclusive growth across the state.
- Along with the MoUs signed, 448 of investment intention forms with an investment value of ₹3.84 Lakh Crore were received with an employment potential of 3.G2 Lakh jobs.
- The Utkarsh Odisha Conclave have been a huge success with the state receiving a total of 5G3 projects with an investment of ₹16.73 Lakh Crore and employment potential of 88 Lakh across over 20 sectors.
- The conclave attracted delegates from over 16 countries, including representatives from the Partner Countries – Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia – further strengthening Odisha’s position as a global investment
- The event on the second day featured key sectoral sessions on Textiles and Apparel, Renewable Energy, Skilled in Odisha, Women Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Circular Economy, Agro- and Food Processing, Healthcare, Pharma C Biotech, and Industrial Infrastructure, driving actionable strategies for investment and The Chief Minister addressed the Women CEO’s Round table, plenary sessions on Skilled in Odisha C Women Entrepreneurship enabled by Shubhadra.
- Sessions such as “Skilled in Odisha” highlighted workforce development initiatives to prepare youth for emerging
- Panels on Women Entrepreneurship and Start-Up Odisha focused on promoting innovation and
- Odisha’s commitment to sustainability was reflected through discussions on renewable energy, circular economy practices, and green
- The cultural evenings featured mesmerizing performances, showcasing Odisha’s rich heritage, coupled with innovative drone shows, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
- The Hon’ble Chief Minister announced Odisha’s roadmap toward achieving the vision of Samrudh Odisha 2036 and contributing to Viksit Bharat
- Odisha is poised to be the Anchor of India’s Purvodaya vision, transforming into an industrial powerhouse with a global footprint. The state welcomes all stakeholders to turn commitments into impactful projects and contribute to India’s growth
- The Chief Minister also announced that the exhibition shall be extended for one more day e. till January 31, 2025 so that the general public, especially the youth and students will have a better understanding of emergence of Odisha as a rising industrial powerhouse of the country and the Government’s overarching plans to provide unmatched opportunities to our youth through skilling, diversification of industrial base and creation of world class infrastructure.
