Madhya Pradesh is emerging as one of India’s most promising tourism destinations, rooted in rich heritage, wildlife, spirituality, and living culture, while steadily embracing innovation and global partnerships. At Davos 2026, the Government of Madhya Pradesh, in collaboration with Women Inspiring Network (WIN), will host a focused panel discussion at the India Lounge to showcase how the state is reimagining tourism at scale through strong governance, improved connectivity, and responsible development.
The session will be chaired by Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, with senior government participation led by Ilayaraja T., Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Managing Director, MPSTDC. Industry perspectives will be shared by Ranju Alex, CEO, Accor South Asia; Bulut Bağcı, President, World Tourism Forum Institute; Gaurav Bhushan, Co-CEO, Ennismore and CEO – Lifestyle & Leisure Brands, Accor; Sadiq Gillani, Chairman of the Advisory Board and Non-Executive Director, Condor Flugdienst GmbH; and Gurmeet Sachdev, Soh Magazine. The discussion will be moderated by Stuti Jalan, Founder, Women Inspiring Network (WIN).
The panel will focus on positioning Madhya Pradesh as India’s experiential heartland, offering year-round, world-class tourism experiences for global travellers. It will explore tourism as an engine for inclusive economic growth, the role of public–private partnerships in scaling infrastructure and destination readiness, the importance of blending global hospitality standards with local culture, and how improved air, rail, road, and digital connectivity is unlocking new tourism circuits. The conversation will also highlight why Madhya Pradesh stands out today as an attractive, investment-ready destination with strong governance, policy support, and a clear roadmap for tourism-led growth.
