The music of SVF and Arindam Sil’s upcoming Puja release, Byomkesh Gowtro, was launched with splendour and style. The mood of the occasion was vibrant with the entire starcast of the film beaming with the great response that was received previously from the teaser and trailer of the film and the evening became even more colourful as the song “Bisher Dhowaye“ from the film played in the background and an accomplished Cabaret dancer enthralled everyone with her performance at the classic Kolkata restaurant Trincas, Park Street.
This was followed by director Arindam Sil coming on stage to talk about the music of the film which has been composed by his good friend and musician, Bickram Ghosh. The song “Bisher Dhowaye“ has been sung by Ujjaini Mukherjee and features Emily (played by Priyanka Sarkar) performing a cabaret to entice Satyakam (Arjun Chakraborty) while Byomkesh ( Abir Chatterjee ) and Ajit ( Rahul Banerjee ) watch from a distance.
The other song from the film is called ” Balamuwa” and will be released by the makers in the coming days.
Also present in the music launch were actors Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar, Arjun Chakraborty, Priyanka Sarkar, Saureseni Maitra, Bibriti Chatterjee, Joydip Kundu, Baisakhi Marjit, Indrashish Ray along with the crew of the film cinematographer Subhankar Bhar, designer Abhishek Roy.
Talking about the music of the film, director Arindam Sil said: ” Bickram and myself have collaborated several times in the past to produce great music and this time it would be a notch better. Keeping in mind the English look and feel that is seen throughout the film, Bickram has used a theme of music that will take us back in time while deepening the mystery in the film.”

Inspired from Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s ‘Rakter Daag‘ , Arindam Sil’s Byomkesh Gowtro is scheduled to release on 12th October 2018 during the much celebrated Durga Puja festival. The film also stars Anjan Dutt, Harsh Chhaya, Suprobhat Das, Anindita Bose in pivotal roles.
