HT Media Group Appoints Binoy Prabhakar as Chief Content Officer

HT Media Group, one of India’s largest media and entertainment conglomerates, today appointed Binoy Prabhakar as its new Chief Content Officer of HT Digital. Binoy’s role will be pivotal in driving the content growth strategy for all digital offerings of the Group and retaining the leadership of its news sites through quality and credible content.

HT Digital Streams includes over 15 digital assets, including, Hindustan Times, Live Hindustan,, and VCCircle.

With a career spanning over 20 years in the media industry and extensive expertise in digital media, Binoy brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

Prior to joining HT Media Group, Binoy served as the Executive Editor at Moneycontrol. He has also held several senior positions across reputed media houses in India, including The Economic Times, The Indian Express, and The Times of India. He was the founding editor of Binoy started his career with Hindustan Times as a Copy Editor in 2001.

Binoy is a 2017 Fellow at the Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism in New York and is passionate about building successful journalism products and finding innovative business solutions. He is known for running agile, dynamic, and efficient newsrooms, introducing engaging storytelling formats, creating prosperous journalism products, and discovering innovative business solutions.
