One of the leading news networks, India Today Group, has appointed Nilanjan Das as the Chief AI Officer (CAIO). Nilanjan possesses a deep experience in media and an exceptional track record of driving AI-led innovation within ITG (India Today Group).
Nilanjan will directly work with Kallie Purie, Vice Chairperson and Executive Editor-in-Chief, India Today Group. He will also work closely with the editorial tech and business teams to accelerate AI adoption and innovation across the organization.
“Nilanjan is perfectly poised to lead our Artificial Intelligence agenda across platforms”, said Kallie Purie. Over the past few years, he has been at the forefront of integrating AI in the ITG newsroom and content ecosystem. The group has recently introduced AI news anchors. He has also been leading a number of tasks related to artificial intelligence, such as AI pop stars, AI-powered films for TV, to covers for India Today magazine.
Nilanjan will spearhead the India Today AI Lab to build AI-first capabilities. This will help the brand to look and transform the way content is created, distributed and monetized. The move will also ensure a lead in the ever-evolving media landscape.
